About This Meeting:
Join World Relief Seattle, Plumbers Without Borders, Sustainability Ambassadors, Kent Hillside Church, The Nature Conservancy and Stone Soup Gardens to tour a functioning Green Stormwater Irrigation System that services a 50 plot community farm for refugee families called Paradise Parking Plots
  • Meet and hear from the visionaries, the farmers, and the community leaders transforming a parking lot into a community farm for immigrants and refugees.
  • Tour the irrigation system fed by the 16,000 gallons of cistern storage that irrigates the crops while reducing flooding and improving downstream water quality.
  • Check out the future site and design of Kent’s first rain garden – designed by this community’s youth!
