Industrial Stormwater Permit

New Stormwater Sampling Manual: A guide for the Industrial Stormwater General Permit from the Washington State Department of ecology

The Industrial Stormwater General Permit applies to all facilities conducting industrial activities that discharge stormwater to a surface waterbody or to a storm sewer system that drains to a surface waterbody. The purpose of this manual is to help those who operate facilities do their own stormwater sampling. The manual provides a step-by-step procedure of what facilities need to do to sample, gather, and report data in order to describe the quality of stormwater leaving the facility.

Stormwater Treatment BMPs and Technologies

We know a lot of permittees struggle with Level 3 Corrective Actions. At the request of many of you, we put together a Treatment BMP Matrix to help you decide which treatment options are best for your facility and the pollutants you need to reduce. Although not an exhaustive list, we hope it give you a place to start.

We'd like to expand this list and make it better. If you have any suggestions, they are welcome and greatly appreciated.
