2014 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference

CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

The 2014 Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference will be held in Seattle, Washington on 30 April – 2 May. The Salish Sea Ecosystem Conference brings together scientists, First Nations and tribal government representatives, resource managers, community/business leaders, policy makers, educators and students to present the latest scientific research on the state of the ecosystem, and to guide future actions for protecting and restoring the Salish Sea Ecosystem.

The Conference Steering Committee is calling for abstracts from the Salish Sea community. More information is  available at the conference website at www.salishseaconference.org.

Some of the stormwater-related sessions include:
  • Stormwater quality, impacts, treatment, solutions
  • Water Pollution Identification & Correction (PIC) Programs: methods, resources, and success stories
  • Sources of PCBs in the Green/Duwamish Watershed
  • Bioretention for Improving Water Quality
  • Washington Fish Consumption Rate: one number, hundreds of human health and environmental management decisions, millions of consumers.
