What You Need To Know About Your Permit
Industrial Stormwater Permit
This statewide permit applies to facilities conducting industrial activities that discharge stormwater to a surface water body or to a storm sewer system that drains to a surface water body
Construction Stormwater Permit
Construction sites are required to be covered by a Construction Stormwater General Permit if they are engaged in clearing, grading, and excavating activities that disturb one or more acres and discharge stormwater to surface waters of the state. Smaller sites may also require coverage if they are part of a larger common plan of development that will ultimately disturb one acre or more. Operators of regulated construction sites are required to:
- Develop stormwater pollution prevention plans.
- Implement sediment, erosion, and pollution prevention control measures.
- Obtain coverage under this permit.
Boatyard Permit
This statewide permit applies to boatyards that discharge stormwater to a surface water body or to a storm sewer system that drains to a surface water body. This general permit also regulates wastewater from pressure washing in boatyards.
Sand & Gravel Stormwater Permit
The permit regulates discharges of process water, stormwater, and mine dewatering water associated with sand and gravel operations, rock quarries, and similar mining operations, including stockpiles of mined materials. It also covers concrete batch operations and hot mix asphalt operations. Untreated discharge water from sand and gravel operations harms fish, aquatic life and water quality.
