CitiesAlive: 14th Annual Green Roof and Wall Conference - Tuesday, November 1 – Friday, November 4

This year's CitiesAlive Conference, being held in the city that is leading the charge, Washington, D.C., November 1-4, will focus on rising to the stormwater challenge by examining policies, technologies, design and best management practices.

CitiesAlive is North America's leading forum to discuss benefits and strategies of green roof and wall design, installation and maintenance. This interdisciplinary conference features presentations on research, design and policy; a trade show with 40+ exhibitors; professional development courses; and tours of high-performance green infrastructure projects.

For the first time, CitiesAlive will kick-off with a Stormwater Technical Workshop, a full-day expert-led workshop covering the functions of different green roof layers in managing stormwater, existing standards, a review of current regulations, cost-benefit information and more.

Delegates from across North America will come to Washington, D.C. to learn from the city's growing green roof and wall marketplace, growth spurred by D.C.'s green building initiatives and stormwater incentives, which are driving the design and implementation of millions of square feet of green walls and rooftops across the city.
