Lunchtime Webinar Series: How to Use Ecological Economics to Quantify the Benefits of Healthy Ecosystems - Thursday, June 8 (2:00pm - 4:00pm)

June 8, 2017, 2-4pm Webinar

The Washington Stormwater Center at WSU Puyallup Research Center, is pleased to host Earth Economics on June 8, 2017, from 2-4pm to discuss how to use ecosystem services valuation to your benefit.

As part of its Lunchtime Municipal Webinar Series, The Washington Stormwater Center invites you to learn from our speakers Matt Chadsey and Maya Kociak, about how to value and communicate the benefit of quantifiable ecosystem services of the natural resources we all work to protect, steward and use for our collective benefit.

This presentation will explore and explain the relationship between human economies and natural systems, and will provide participants with an understanding of the historic disconnect between the environment and the economy.  It will introduce participants to new tools and principles that recognize the economic benefits of natural systems, and provide mechanisms to effect change.

In addition to an overview to Ecosystem Services, Earth Economics will use case examples, discuss accounting methods and how to ask the right questions. Please open the attached overview for more detail.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
