Webinar on EPA's National Study of Nutrient Removal & Secondary Technologies - Thursday, June 22 (10:00am)

Webinar on EPA's National Study of Nutrient Removal & Secondary Technologies

Last year EPA initiated a new study to evaluate nutrient removal at POTWs with secondary treatment. The goals of the study are to establish a nationwide baseline for nutrient removal at municipal wastewater treatment plants, and to characterize low-cost options, such as operation and management practices, that result in improved nutrient control at POTWs with secondary treatment. EPA announced plans to conduct a census of POTWs as the first step in this study and solicited comment on a draft questionnaire. Many people reviewed the draft questionnaire and provided EPA with useful comments. The comments and questions to that draft questionnaire have been addressed and the revised questionnaire has been converted into an on-line electronic format.

EPA is hosting a webinar to provide an update on this questionnaire. The webinar will specifically focus on demonstrating the content and electronic format of the revised survey questionnaire. The webinar will take place on June 22, 2017 at 10:00 am PDT. EPA invites those interested to attend. Attendees must register in advance. Due to the anticipated number of participants, questions will not be taken during the webinar. Questions can be submitted separately to nutrient-removal-study@epa.gov. Registration for the webinar and more information on the study can be found at the study's website: https://www.epa.gov/eg/national-study-nutrient-removal-and-secondary-technologies
