Stormwater Awareness Week 2025 – October 6–11
Leading up to Stormwater Awareness Week 2025, we’re delighted to announce Salmon Homecoming. Grab your spirit wear and mark your calendars — Saturday, October 4, from 11 AM to 3 PM is the big day! The Salmon are making their grand return to Clarks Creek, and we’re celebrating with a Salmon Homecoming Celebration at the Puyallup Historical Fish Hatchery.
Think of it like your classic homecoming rally — but instead of football players under the lights, it’s salmon charging upstream to spawn!

Come cheer them on and join the festivities:
- Visit the Washington Stormwater Center booth for kids’ activities and cool info about our work.
- Feed the fish and get up close with stream bugs.
- Watch salmon dissections (science spirit at its finest!).
- Enjoy food vendors, family-friendly fun, and ADA accessible activities all afternoon.
This is a FREE event for all ages — so rally your friends, bring the whole family, and show some hometown pride for our returning salmon superstars.
Location: Puyallup Historical Fish Hatchery
1416 14th St SW, Puyallup, WA 98371
We can’t wait to see you there! Go Salmon!
