The current Industrial Stormwater General Permit is set to expire on December 31, 2024, and Ecology is currently drafting a new permit for reissuance. As a part of this reissuance process, Ecology has scheduled a series of listening sessions, including 4 virtual listening sessions along with 1 in-person session, all to be held in September 2023. These sessions provide a valuable opportunity for you to get a firsthand look at Ecology’s proposed changes for the upcoming permit cycle and to express any concerns you may have. It is important to note that while these sessions are a pivotal initial step within the reissuance process, they are informal in nature. Unlike the public comment period that will come later in the process, Ecology isn’t required to address all comments made during these listening sessions, however, your input remains a vital part of shaping the permit’s final version. These listening sessions are the first step of many. Click here to learn more about this process.
