Jul. 31, 2019 Draft Rule Language WAC 173-201A (revisions)

Open for comment until Sept. 26, 2019

Ecology is proposing to adopt multiple revisions to Chapter 173-201A WAC, Water Quality Standards for Surface Waters of the State of Washington.

We are proposing changes to the Total Dissolved Gas standards in the Snake and Columbia rivers. Additionally, we are taking comment on other revisions to different parts of the water quality standards, which includes clarifying the descriptions of marine water aquatic life designations. We are also proposing changes due to a legal agreement, where we agreed to remove incremental warming allowances for nonpoint sources and to clarify using water effects ratios in a permit will require a separate rulemaking. The full description of these changes is in the rule proposal CR-102 form (see below).

We are now accepting comments: July 31 to Sept. 26, 2019
